Everything we know about the Mario kart 8 Zelda DLC.

The first Mario kart 8 DLC is almost here but we have to tell you everything we know about this DLC that is releasing this year of 2014.

 *release dates aren't announced yet but the months are:

 *Zelda DLC - November 2014

 * Animal Crossing - May 2015

New Vehicles in Pack 1:

These new vehicles in Mario kart 8 are absolutely amazing! Well I mean, look at the list! We got the Blue falcon from F-Zero, the B Dasher from Mario kart DS, Link's very special own motorcycle, "the master cycle", and also the Toonooki buggy! We have never had anything coming from a different franchise into the Mario kart franchise, that is why it is so awesome to see these new vehicles! The master cycle and the blue falcon! The master cycle, if you look closely, looks just like Link's horse, epona! According to nintendo's tweet on Twitter, they informed us that this vehicle has plenty of horse power.... Wonder what that could mean... 

Well the Toonooki buggy maybe a normal truck to you but it's actually a sweet ride if you took the time to check it out in the screenshots below. Not only that, we also point out some other clues with some captions next to the screenshots:

    ^ This is the Blue falcon, this is the only screenshot Nintendo have released for this vehicle. If you can see in the screenshot above, this vehicle looks like it has NO WHEELS at all! This could mean that this vehicle doesn't have to switch from anti-gravity mode to non-anti-gravity mode! In other words, this vehicle doesn't have to display their wheels when passing the blue strip...

    ^This is the Toonooki buggy, if you can see, the tire hanging from the back of the truck is actually matching toonooki Mario's tail. No biggie, it's just a neat touch Nintendo did for Toonooki Mario, but that's not all, if you can also see, the front of the truck represents a face of a raccoon! Look! 

    Yup, the front of the Toonooki buggy does represent a raccoon's face...

Nice Easter egg huh?

This is the B-Dasher! Vroom Vroom! This vehicle made an appearance in Mario Kart DS, then it returned to Mario kart 7, and NOW it's returning AGAIN to Mario kart 8! How awesome is that!

New Characters:

Like we said, not a single different franchise has entered the world of Mario kart. That is why it is so exciting to see Link join in the fun! 

Rants from the fans:

Some fans are kinda disappointed though, not about Link but because of the character roster clones rising. Adding Cat Peach and Toonooki Mario was a horrible decision fans thought. Don't get me wrong but, other fans thought Link was a waste too because he gets a chance to join a franchise that wasn't even made for him but other characters that deserve to join in the roster can't have a chance because of this character, including Toonooki Mario and Cat Peach. 

Well atleast Toonooki Mario & Cat Peach have different animations when doing tricks right? No? Well okay...

The Race Tracks & Cups:

DLC Pack 1 includes 2 cups, each cup in Mario kart equals 4 Tracks so in all, you will also be receiving 8 Tracks. Here are the confirmed tracks we know now and some clues & Easter eggs we spotted:

Wario's gold mine:

Wario's goldmine originally appeared in Mario kart wii. Making its first return to Mario Kart 8. It's actually obvious that the blue strip will appear before the first dip in the screenshot, making you switch to antigravity.

Excite bike Track:

 If you can see, this track is the shape of Baby Park from MKDD! The only difference is that it's an extended shape of that track with many humps on the track. Not only that, each time when you race on this track, the course will change into different methods on the way you race on the other half of the track. Check it out yourself below:

It will change on the other side of the course when you start off the race.

Old version of Yoshi circuit (GCN) :

New version in Mario kart 8:

Not only did this track returned but it also returned for the 2nd time! This is the first time Nintendo ever breaked the Mario kart law which was to not bring a track back for the 2nd time. Well, that's what the fans thought but there's still many tracks that should be replaced with this track in DLC pack 1 such as Wario colosseum. That track has many twists, ramps, and curves! This would definitely fit the new ability of antigravity in Mario kart 8 but hey, that's Nintendo. Anyways, this track reappeared in Mario kart DS from MKDD. It's actually great to see this track in a new beautiful HD look though to be honest.

F-Zero track:

This is the new F-Zero track. This is the only screenshot Nintendo ever released for this course. Keep in mind though, this track will most likely be a antigravity-ONLY track. How come? See those blue strips on both sides of the course?

Well those strips appeared in the remake version of piranha plant slide in this game when you plunge into the water.

And also the haunted mansion track in this game!

Those blue strips means that your in the antigravity zone so it's obvious that the F-Zero course will be an antigravity-only track. Who knows, there could be loops in this track too since F-Zero had loops in that racing game. We could be wrong but there's a high chance that this could be true.

Mercedes Benz Trailer

Update | The Mercedes Benz trailer has been released for Japan! This fabulous free DLC for Mario kart 8 is releasing around the corner on August 27th! No words for US or other countries yet but We heard that the Mercedes Benz is not the only thing that's being released on that date. Mario kart 8 is also releasing a update for the game that will change the way you game from the start of May with these new changes.

➊No more looking down at your gamepad for the map fella, the map is heading onto your tv screen just like the previous Mario karts when you update the game! 

 ➋The Mercedes Benz DLC will be free of course.

➎Edit others highlight reels. 

➏Records screen with total coins, online win-loss record, character selection rates etc.

8 ways to own Mario Kart 8!

Mario kart 8 has over 2 million skilled players that know all the techniques in getting into first place, but not all of them, here's 8 ways to dominate in Mario kart 8 than any other player!

1. The start boost to a flawless start!

Everyone know this trick and it's the start boost! In this game is not easy actually to get the big boost you want to start off the race with. When the number 2 drops down the screen, that is when you hold down the accelerate button, make sure you do it as soon as it drops because if you do it too early, your car will burst it's fuel making your car stop for atleast 5 seconds making your opponents get a headstart, do it to late isn't such a bad thing but you won't get a huge boost, only a mini one. Do it right? Your boost is gonna end up as a mushroom boost!

2. There's actually 2 accelerate controls!

Incase your a typical gamer that would like to take it hardcore a little bit, on the wii u gamepad has 2 controls that will make your kart accelerate either way. The 'A' button is one way and the right analog stick while pushing it forward without pressing the 'A' button is another way. The other controls for items, drifting, etc. are the same, just an easier way for your fingers to be at the same height for comfortable gameplay for better performance.

3. Go old school to be 1st!

Remember that old school pipe frame kart which was the first ever kart that appeared in the first mario kart and mario kart 64? Well actually in our opinion, the pipe frame kart with small-medium wheels, with any type of glider is the fastest kart in Mario kart 8! When you use any type of weight character, the handling, the speed, and the weight and etc. of the car combination is perfect when you click the '+' button to see the chart and when you actually take it on the road! Trust me, I would've never gotten my golden glider by drifting for those coins and speeding at the same time! Try it!

4. HOP after your DRIFT! 

People don't notice this but when you hop 2 times quickly after your drif boost, your speed increases even more after the boost you get weather it's a blue spark or a red one! Try it!

5. Don't be afraid of the kart's ability

Most players think that just because the Motorbike in Mario kart Wii had wheelies to make the bike go faster, will still be better and faster in the new Mario kart 8 even though the wheelie is taken out for you to control. Well umm, no, both karts and motorbikes in Mario kart 8 are the fastest on most of the tracks said in the last nintendo direct. So don't worry, you just have to customize your vehicle right.

6. The coins are important!

A lot of players asked the same questions over and over again to see what are the coins meant for in this game. They aren't here just to bling in our face, they here to help us! How? Pick up ten, which is the limit to have in 1 race, to save up to unlock new random characters and vehicle parts! Not only that, the coins help your speed! Each time you collect one at a time, it increases even more but just watch out from any obstacles because if you get hit or fall off the track, you'll lose 3 coins which decrease your speed quick!

7. How to Avoid Spectating and join a lobby fast

Many people hate spectating since it's so boring! But here's an amazing tip to avoid watching the racers race when your trying to join an online match! When your selecting your character for the online match, pick it, then pick a customized vehicle you would like to use then just wait a few seconds and then a countdown will appear, that means a lobby is waiting on your vote for the race! Then there you have it! Your not going to spectate anymore!

8. The gold kart is eh...

Don't get us wrong, the gold kart in Mario kart 8 is an amazing glossy glittering gold kart to use and all but it isn't so fast enough in our opinion when you add all the gold parts together to race. Don't force yourself to use this vehicle just because your thinking about the bragging to the other players, not really the winning. Haha! Mario kart 8 DLC confirmed fake by cvg_news, BUT DON'T BELIEVE THEM!

CVG_news confirmed on twitter the leaked pictures being fake of the added 5 new characters to the roster and the new battle modes returning from the previous Mario kart on Mario kart 8. BUT, that does not tell you to stop giving up because we got evidence telling you why they are wrong!

First of all, let's get this striaght, Nintendo didn't confirmed this, a whole different person did, that's number one, number two? Please read our last blog on the DLC which will tell you everything why this is legit. And number 3, well, let's get to it!

Just keep in mind guys, just because a person has loads of followers, doesn't mean they can't make mistakes on what they post. Heck, we have 10k and we make mistakes sometimes by a simple wrong error we make then a nice fan starts correcting us appropriately. So keep that in mind, now let's get to the talking, cvg_news not only tweeted something fast without thinking but they linked a video that was taken at e3 last year! Yeah, what's our point right? Saw it right? Yeah, now let's get to more explanation. 

This room right here looked like it was the same exact room the video was taken in, the gamepad color, the tv, the guys shadow kind of and more. Cvg_news could be right about the new modes being added to Mario kart 8 being fake but we don't know about the the added characters! Take another look at this!

E3 took place for Mario kart 8 last year, the same exact year the video was taken that cvg_news linked us. So this was the first character selection screen for Mario kart 8, but can they explain this??

This room was definitely not the same exact room the video was taken last year.  Here's one more look guys!

This is this year's e3 where shigeru miyamoto was playing the new star fox for wii u in a purple shadowed room. The same exact atmosphere the new characters selection screen picture was taken. Cvg_news can't explain the added on characters because we know exactly what we're talking about, besides, the old characters selection screen and the new one looks extremely different! The new character selection screen had to be taken this year at e3 and we don't care what anybody says, Nintendo didn't confirmed this being fake so remember that once again but you never know! Mario kart 8 DLC

So apparently a "Leaked" photo or should I say, PHOTOS, have been taking over the internet for nintendo fans that had them raging over their seats before e3. If you haven't seen them yet, here's your chance, the first photo shows you 5 new characters being playable on Mario kart 8. The characters are:

Birdo from the super mario™ series

Plessie from super mario 3D world™

Professor e.gadd from Luigi's Mansion™

Kamek from super mario™ series (This character was suppose to be playable in Mario kart 64 but was then later replaced after the beta with DK.)

And finally the monkey we all know and love, Diddy kong.

Not only characters were "leaked" but new battle modes too! The two new battle modes were "Shine thief" and "Bomb-omb blast." These 2 modes appeared in the 4th mario kart series, mario kart double dash. Nintendo did mentioned of bringing back some parts of gameplay from Mario kart double dash into the future so this makes sense. 

"3 reasons why this could be LEGIT."

1. On the bottom left corner of the battle selection mode screen, you can see the same exact thing from the TV to the gamepad.

2. The photo looks like it was taken at e3 since the room looks kind of purple and shows the "wii u" logo station on one of the pictures.

3. Nintendo announced a new thing called "amiibo" where you can add new figurines for new characters and etc. for many games in the future. One of those games they announced that you can use the figurines for is Mario Kart 8™. So maybe Nintendo will allow you to get new characters for this game by getting these cool little figurines in stores or maybe striaght from the eshop.

Your probably wondering why plessie was on the character selection screen, well if you played the previous Mario kart which was Mario kart 7™, Queen bee was a hugemuguos character then resized her to fit the kart, maybe they will resize Plessie the same way IF this is real.

E3 is over unfortunately and Nintendo has not announced anything about this DLC for Mario kart 8™, but that doesn't tell us to give up, there's still a chance to play as our favorite characters we all love and adore. We might have to wait until the holidays when Super Smash Bros.4 is being released, (The same day Amiibo is being released.) to see if nintendo will announce DLC for these special little figurines. And also, we must have DLC soon since Japan already had a DLC released for them by nintendo which was the Mercedes Benz car for free, you know nintendo, they don't do us dirty like that by just leaving us at the corner for not getting anything either but if all of this is fake, the person who made this did a fantastic job! Not saying this is real or fake but we're giving you clue of what could happen in the future, mmt signing out!

We decided to take a test drive on A race track for a bit since we've gotten a chance to get a review copy of Mario kart 8 from nintendo but guess what, NO COMMENTARY! Isn't a miracle right? Mario kart facts!

Apart of our special event this month (Mario kart Month), we listed some Mario kart facts you haven't recognized while playing the game.

1. Whenever you pick a regular GP Offline, the computer will always maintain the right amount of numbers of weight characters, 4 Heavy, 4 Middle and 4 Small, wich means, if you pick one Small character, the CPU will randomly pick 3 other Small character along with 4 heavies and 4 middle weights

2. Birdo is the only character in the game having no Staff Ghost (Birdo was infact one of the characters voted for deletion, but due to no replacement, Birdo was put back in again, wherever no one had time making a staff ghost for Birdo.)

3. There are Unconfirmed texture glitches in N64 Bowser's Castle where you can drive around for a few seconds and suddenly dive through the floor/ground with no warning
There are a few more Texture Glitches on other courses wich allows you to drive through cielings and walls by using jumps and mushrooms perfectly. (I can confirm this as i've seen a Donkey Kong CPU dive right through Luigi Circuit level, though no evidence)

4. The Blue shell have a super impact on the player, wich means if you we're hit by anything else before the blue one connects with you, that damage will be overlaped by the blue shell explosion, and you will spinout twice, even if you're already spinning mid-air, plus you'll fly higher.
Two Blue shells can't overlap each others (Making it pretty impossible as you can only throw 1 blue shell)

5. The Drift-Grip manouver is actually a Glitch, none of the staff ghosts are actually using this.

6. Shy-Guy Beach and Sherbet Land are the only 2 courses in the game manually affected by the off-road ability, yet other courses being off the course, will give you a higher speed rate when doing a stand-boost.
Also the Dolphin Dasher, Magikruiser, Rally Romper + other vehicles with very high Off-road bonuses can get a Drift-Boost while being off the course as well (Peach Gardens for Exceptions)

7. Yoshi is the only character in the game having recycled Voice Effects more than just from Mario Kart Double Dash, but also as well from various Mario Party games.

8. If you take a look carefully on each Retro cup, there is always one course of each console in each cup, Snes/Gba, N64, DS and GCN in every cup...

New Nintendo Direct 4/30/14

Nintendo has revealed some new characters, tracks, and especially items and many many more things today! The new Rainbow Road, the amazing evil Bowser Castle and surprisingly, a Baby Rosalina?!
